Pictures are extremely moving. From the simplest to the most extravagant, if it takes you to a certain place emotionally it’s done its job. Growing up in a small town I’ve always known to appreciate simple things. What about the things we take for granted? We walk past them all the time without taking a second look. Are they not simply beautiful? I hope in some of my pictures I capture that simplistic beauty. 

 Where does it take you? It’s the inward portrayal of the image that takes us. Every image brings us to a different time or place. Emotions are a powerful thing to capture in a single frame. Some of the best pictures I’ve seen have been horrible quality but the image sticks with you. It’s the ability to find the angle, the moment, to have a good eye if you will. Ansel Adams once said “A good photograph is knowing where to stand”. If that doesn’t sum it up I don’t know what does.
